Joyce Martin
Joyce is a family law executive. She was born in South London, spent her formative years in Kent, and moved to the Island when she was twelve. She attended Carisbrooke Grammar School, before subsequently studying French at the Institut Francais du Royaume-Uni in South Kensington.
Joyce joined RJR as a legal secretary in the 1980s before studying for her ILEX exams during a career break to have a family.
Joyce is married with two ‘twenty-something’ children. Her main interests revolve around sailing and cycling. She is secretary of Gurnard Sailing Club (RYA club of the year 2008!) and together with her husband enjoys cycling holidays all over the U.K. She is also an avid football fan and supports Manchester United – not just an armchair supporter – she did manage to get to a European game at Old Trafford last season.
Joyce says “…the aspect of my work that I particularly enjoy is helping people by providing support and guidance through a particularly traumatic time in their lives.”
