RJR Solicitors has stepped forward to help protect the Island’s environment, by becoming a corporate member of the Hampshire and IW Wildlife Trust.

The wildlife trust, the largest in a network of 47 such trusts across the UK, runs 57 wildlife reserves in the region and manages 6,500 acres of countryside known for its rich diversity of habitats and species.

Now RJR Solicitors, which has offices in Ryde, Newport, Freshwater and Shanklin, has joined other local businesses in backing the organisation’s work.

Senior partner Ian Pratt said: “We are delighted to support the Hampshire and IW Wildlife Trust as part of RJR Solicitors’ wider efforts to make a positive contribution to our area."

“As well as having the satisfaction of knowing we are helping through financial support, we value the fact that by keeping us informed about what’s happening in our local environment, the wildlife trust will give us a better appreciation of the natural resources on our doorstep.”

Peter Hutchings, senior marketing officer at the trust, said: “As a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation, we can only be truly effective with the support of companies that really care about the environment."

“We are very pleased RJR Solicitors has joined us as a corporate member. By getting involved in trust projects, they will encourage their staff, suppliers and clients to help look after wildlife on the Island.”
