Have I got a case?

There are many different types of claims. You may have been in a car crash or developed an illness through work. You may have slipped on some spilt milk in the supermarket or tripped over the poorly maintained pavement. You may have been hurt as a consequence of a criminal act.

You may not know who is responsible for the accident or your illness but do not let that put you off. You may feel that you are partly to blame but that will not stop you getting compensation.

Your first step should be to contact us as soon as possible. Whilst for many injuries there is a time limit of three years from the accident, in some case it is shorter, although for children there is likely to be an extension of the time limit. As soon as possible you should make a note of what happened and keep the details of any expenses incurred, trips to the hospital and the affect the accident has had on you, both in terms of pain and what it prevents you from doing.

Remember our initial advice is free - you can walk away without paying anything.

What will it cost me?

After the initial free interview there are various options:-

No win, no fee - also known as "conditional fees". For more details click here

Legal Expenses insurance - you may not know it, but you may have an insurance policy that covers your legal fees, it may be part of your home or car insurance policy. Your insurance company is likely to try and push you towards certain law firms - you do not have to accept their recommendations. Do they have the necessary experience? Do they have an office near you ?

After the event insurance - this may be available - we can help investigate the availability and explain the pros and cons to you.

Public Funding / Legal Aid - the Government has withdrawn public funding for the majority of personal injury cases. We can advise if it is available in your case.

If you want to simply "pay as you go" then we can advise you of the likely costs and the costs for each stage.
